Detail

Gamma-aminobutyric acid（GABA）is an amino acid found in foods,such as fruits, vegetables,tea and fermented foods. In mammals, GABA is generated from glutamic acid by glutamic acid decarboxylase and functions as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system .

It is recognized that GABA plays an important role in humans, particularly in the central nervous system.GABA can relieve anxiety, promote falling asleep and improve sleep quality. Many foods enriched in GABA, including candy, drinks, chocolates, and dietary supplements, have been released in the market in China, Japan and other countries.
